WalkAbout NY is written by its founders: native New Yorkers Elissa Marton, a 20-year travel marketing veteran for major cruise lines and tour operations, and Nikkie James, a television, film and stage actor specializing in audio recordings.
Nikki James has recorded dozens of books for Highbridge, Scholastic, and others, including Oprah-choice Fall on Your Knees, as well as audio guides for the Boston Museum of fine Arts, and the National Gallery in D.C. Recent work includes television performances and the Carnegie Kids series at Carnegie Hall.
